Brief description:

The IATEFL Africa Scholarship was set up in 2007 with the purpose of helping teachers or teacher trainers from African countries to attend the IATEFL Annual Conference.

International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL)

Teaching English as a Second Language
Number of Awards:
One scholarship is usually awarded each year.
Target group:
Teachers or teacher trainers from African countries
Scholarship value/inclusions:
Each scholarship is worth in the region of £2000 including the registration for the conference.
Eligibility:
To qualify applicants must:
• be resident and native from African countries
• be practising teachers in primary or secondary education or teacher trainers
• have not travelled outside Africa before
• be unable to finance such a trip from their own resources
